Tragic news that the former detainee Faraj Hassan passed away on the morning of 16 August 2010.
Cageprisoners is saddened to learn of the death of Faraj Hassan, who fought against various forms of detention without charge in the UK since 2002. During his detention he faced deportation to Libya as well as being subjected to a control order. 8 months ago he finally managed to secure his freedom and used the time he had free in order to work on behalf of those still detained without charge or trial.
On the morning of 16 August 2010, Faraj Hassan passed away after a tragic motorcycle accident. He leaves behind a wife and three young children.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon – we ask that Allah SWT grants his family patience to deal with the difficult days ahead and we further pray that Allah SWT grants out brother the highest level of jannah.
وَٱعۡبُدۡ رَبَّكَ حَتَّىٰ يَأۡتِيَكَ ٱلۡيَقِينُ
